Don't neglect polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) !

There are three groups of fatty acids: saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated.
The essential fatty acids are within the third group, which cannot be synthesized by our body. It is therefore essential to get them from the diet or by taking nutritional supplements.

What are omega-3s and why consume them?

The most recognized ployunsaturated fatty acids are called omega-3 and are derived from alpha linoleic acid.

These acids help structure our cells and are also precursors of several cellular mediators. As for mediators, they are responsible for the stimulation of smooth muscles, the dilation of small arteries, the dilation of bronchial tubes, blood pressure, inflammatory reactions, etc.
